Making a subscription make sense — and lifting checkouts 15%.

A premium matcha brand whose Starter Kit combined a one-time product with recurring refills — genuinely useful, and genuinely confusing.

The challenge

A subscription offer nobody could quite picture.

JENKI’s existing theme limited performance and flexibility, and the store needed a clearer structure to support subscription growth while holding a calm, premium feel.

The harder problem was the Starter Kit itself. It combined an upfront product with ongoing refills — a sensible model that was easy to misread, and any confusion at that moment sends a buyer to the one-time option or away entirely.

What we did

Explain the model visually, then get out of the way.

Migration unlocked flexibility; the real work was making the offer legible at a glance.

The results

+16% conversion and +15% subscription checkouts.

Achieved by explaining the offer more clearly rather than discounting it further.

The takeaway

The subscription offer was never the problem. Buyers weren't rejecting it — they just couldn't picture how it worked.
