About Ample Code

A conversion team for DTC brands
that already have the traffic.

We’re a small Shopify CRO, UX, and development team. Eight years, 173+ stores, and one job: turning traffic a brand already pays for into revenue it doesn’t currently collect.

The short version

Eight years inside other people's stores.

Ample Code started the way most of these do — one developer taking on Shopify work in 2018, then more of it, then better of it. What changed along the way wasn’t the technology. It was noticing that the stores making real money weren’t the prettiest ones. They were the ones where nothing got in the buyer’s way.

So the work narrowed. Less “build me a store”, more “find out why this store isn’t converting and fix that”. Across 173+ Shopify builds and optimization programmes since, that’s become the whole business: conversion work for DTC brands with traffic they’re already paying for.

Mazhar Habib leads every project and reviews everything before it reaches a client. That’s a deliberate constraint — it caps how much work we take on, and it’s the reason the quality holds.

What we believe

Four things we do differently.

Revenue, not redesign

A prettier store isn't the goal. Every change is measured against conversion rate, average order value, or revenue. If it doesn't move a number, it doesn't ship — and if we can't measure it, we'll say so before you pay for it.

One team, not three

Most brands hire a designer, a developer, and a CRO consultant, then spend their week translating between them. We own all three, so nothing gets lost in the handoff and nobody gets to blame the other two.

Proof, not promises

173+ stores and eight years, with the specific work shown before you commit to anything. Where we can't evidence a number, we don't publish one — which is why our case study page is shorter than it could be.

See it fast

Your teardown lands within 48 hours. First fixes usually ship inside two weeks. We don't disappear for a quarter and return with a redesign nobody asked for.

How we work

The parts that never change.

Whatever the project, these hold. They’re not selling points so much as the conditions that make the work possible.

We look before we quote

Every engagement opens with a free teardown, then a free roadmap built inside your analytics. Nobody should buy conversion work blind, including you.

Fixed price, agreed first

You approve the number before work starts. No hourly meter, no surprise line items, no invoice that needs decoding.

A quality gate before you see it

Nothing reaches you without being reviewed first. You should be checking work, not catching mistakes.

Updates every Friday

You always know what shipped, what's next, and what's waiting on you — without having to chase anyone for it.

Straight answers

If something won't work, or isn't worth the money, you'll hear that instead of a quote for it. We've talked brands out of projects before.

Your store stays yours

No held credentials, no hostage documentation, no exit fees. If we stop working together, you get a clean handover and everything we built.

Who you actually work with

Small on purpose.

Ample Code isn’t a fifty-person agency and doesn’t pretend to be. Mazhar leads strategy, diagnosis, and review on every project. Implementation is handled by him and a small number of trusted specialists working to the same documented process.

That structure has a real trade-off and it’s worth naming: we can’t take on unlimited work, which is why the teardown is capped at five a week and the retainer at three brands. What you get in return is that the person diagnosing your store is the person who’s done it 173 times — not a junior working from a template.

FAQ

Questions about us.

We work remotely with brands across the US, UK, and Europe, and the team is based in Pakistan. In practice that means most communication is async — written updates, recorded walkthroughs, and scheduled calls when they’re genuinely useful — which is also why the teardown doesn’t require a call in the first place.

Deliberately small. Mazhar leads every project; implementation is shared with a small group of trusted specialists working to the same documented process. We’d rather cap capacity than dilute the work, which is why the free teardown is limited to five a week.

Mazhar handles diagnosis, strategy, and review on everything without exception. Depending on scope, implementation may be shared with a specialist — but nothing reaches you without being reviewed first, and you’ll know who’s doing what before the project starts.

Effectively, yes. Eight years and 173+ stores are almost entirely Shopify and Shopify Plus, including migrations onto the platform. That focus is why we can move quickly — we’re not learning your stack on your budget.

We’ll tell you, and where we can we’ll point you somewhere better. We don’t run paid ads, manage email campaigns, or produce content. Trying to be all of those things is how agencies get worse at the thing they were good at.

Because it’s the fastest way to show you we’re worth hiring. A deck about ourselves proves nothing; three revenue leaks found in your own store proves something. If the teardown is useful you’ll know whether to continue, and if it isn’t, you’ve lost nothing.
